SHALINI MONGIA, M.S., LMFT
I approach counseling as a collaborative process with clients. Together, we address concerns by exploring habits, insecurities, patterns, stressors, personality traits, and childhood experiences. I am passionate about helping people live their unique potential while creating lasting change.
Over the past 14 years I have been providing psychological services for individuals, families, and couples. I am licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences and hold certifications in: EMDR, Clinical Supervision, Imago Relational Therapy, and Family Mediation.
My background includes serving as an adjunct professor at CSU East Bay in the Educational Psychology program, and as the Clinical Director of the Contra Costa Crisis Center where I managed the 2-1-1 call center, grief counseling programs, and clinical internships. At John Muir Behavioral Health, I was a clinician on the adult and adolescent units of the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs.
My work with individuals is primarily in treatment of Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, PTSD, and Complex Grief. With families my focus has been on marital and co-parenting counseling.
