DBT SKILLS GROUP
DBT Pathways in Alamo, CA

This group is designed to help teens develop skills essential to managing life stressors. Issues that we address include anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, loss, anger, bullying, self-esteem, academic stress, problems at home, personal accountability, peer pressure, and other topics that organically arise.
Skill-building includes mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and strategies to reduce negative thinking or destructive behaviors. For clients seeking residential or outpatient aftercare, this group reinforces many of the DBT skills learned in PHP or IOP, including support for relapse prevention.
